As a business we want to support our community as well as help others in need. A portion of our workshop and holiday flower sales are donated to these organizations and our owners (Oscar + Janelle) also donate to these charities personally.
The Mustard Seed is a Christian non-profit organization that has been caring for individuals experiencing homelessness and poverty since 1984. Operating in five cities across Alberta and British Columbia, The Mustard Seed is a supportive haven where people can have their physical, mental, and spiritual needs met and grow toward greater health and independence.
As one of the world’s leading child development organizations, Compassion’s mission is to release children from poverty in Jesus’ name. Over the last 70 years, Compassion revolutionized the fight against global poverty by partnering with local churches to lift children out of spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty.
Bolivia Kids works in partnership with Bolivian communities to improve the health, education and well-being of children and youth. Together, we envision a world where all children have the opportunity to realize their full potential. Our goal is to improve the future of children by identifying and harnessing their strengths.
Mainsprings Pregnancy and Family Support provides support and guidance to individuals facing the challenges of pregnancy, especially in difficult circumstances. They are dedicated to offering emotional and practical assistance, comprehensive pregnancy information, and access to programs and resources that empower our clients. They have been caring for women, youth, and families since 1985. They are there to answer questions, present options, and provide support through the decision-making process and beyond. Whatever journey you choose, they will be there to walk with you.
The Calgary Food Bank strives to fight hunger and it's root causes. The Calgary Food Bank is the first line of emergency food support for families and individuals facing crisis in our city. As the city’s main charitable, and accessible food hub they have the capacity to serve families, individuals and organizations to fight hunger.
#NotInMyCity is a campaign launched in July 2017 and championed by Paul Brandt that raises awareness and is taking action to prevent and end human trafficking and sexual exploitation. The Buckspring Foundation which includes the #NotInMyCity initiative in Canada exists to support people in practical ways locally and globally. They focus on issues facing widows and orphans, the poorest of the poor, marginalized people, and those in emergency need both in North America, and abroad. We encourage neighbours to help neighbours, and facilitate service opportunities and education about challenges facing the world’s poor.
The Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support Centre is a registered charity based in Calgary, Alberta, serving the loss community worldwide. Their mission is to support and connect individuals of all identities, backgrounds or circumstances, who have experienced the trauma around miscarriage, stillbirth, Termination For Medical Reasons (TFMR), neonatal loss, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), or infertility.
YWCA Canada is a leading voice for women, girls, Two-Spirit and gender diverse people. For 150 years, they have been at the forefront of a movement: to fight gender-based violence, build affordable housing and advocate for workplace equity. They work to advance gender equity by responding to urgent needs in communities, through national advocacy and grassroots initiatives.
Today, more than 40 million people live in slavery. International Justice Mission works to end slavery in our lifetime by rescuing victims, bringing criminals to justice, restoring survivors and strengthening justice systems.
Founded in 1992, Women in Need Society (WINS) is Calgary’s homegrown thrift charity, providing basic needs resources and support to women and their families. The revenue from their thrift operations supports programs, like House to Home, Retail Ready, Warehouse Ready and their five Community Resource Hubs.
