Every year hundreds of couples come from across Canada, The United States and around the world to be wed in our beautiful Canadian Rocky Mountains.  

Choosing to have your wedding in the mountains is a great first step in the wedding planning process. The pristine, natural scenery provides a stunning backdrop for all of your photos and video and will make for an extra memorable day for you and your guests. 

There are venues for all types of budgets and styles including lodges, hotels, golf courses and even a castle! There truly is a special venue for every couple! For nature lovers, Canmore, Kananaskis, Banff National Park, Jasper National Park and Yoho National Park all provide a number of unique venues to consider for your wedding day.

We know choosing a wedding venue in the Rockies can be overwhelming so we have compiled a list of our 14 favourite wedding venues in the Canadian Rockies to help inspire you with your wedding planning.

CANMORE

The Malcolm Hotel

The Malcolm Hotel has stunning wrap around views and spectacular vistas of the Three Sisters peaks from their Edinburgh Castle Room, Edinburgh Patio and the Rooftop pool. 

Overall, this hotel exudes warmth, comfort and modern luxury from the moment you step in. It's a perfect venue for hosting your out of town guests and is centrally located in the heart of Canmore. The Edinburgh Patio is a beautiful outside space for a ceremony and the Edinburgh Castle ballroom has floor to ceiling windows for a bright reception or ceremony space. With the beautiful surrounding nature and wildlife this venue is a spectacular choice and hosts weddings year-round. The space can easily be transformed into an intimate evening with the addition of florals and décor.

Silvertip Resort

Silvertip Resort boasts stunning views of the mountains and has a well manicured 18 hole golf course that can entertain you and your guests as part of the wedding festivities. 

Their outdoor gazebo is a coveted ceremony space from spring through fall and Silvertip Resort permits ceremony only bookings at the gazebo. Their Three Sisters Patio is perfect for winter weddings. They have a large ballroom and two smaller conference rooms for more intimate weddings.

It's is easy to see why this is one of the top venues in the Canadian Rockies.

Buffalo Mountain Lodge

Perched at the edge of the Tunnel Mountain Reservoir, Buffalo Mountain Lodge hosts epic vistas of the surrounding mountain ranges with its spectacular scenery and fresh mountain air. As part of the Canadian Rocky Mountain Resort (CRMR) properties their cuisine is mountain inspired, locally sourced and incredibly delicious. Tunnel Mountain Reservoir

Tunnel Mountain Reservoir is one of our favourite places in Banff National Park for an outdoor ceremony, though it can be a little windy. With lavish views of the valley below this ceremony space is one of a kind. With the mountains as your backdrop the options for décor are endless! Wind, snow, or shine this site offers beautiful views for those looking for a mountain escape. You will need to contact the Town of Banff to book this ceremony space.
