Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise Wedding - L + D
There's something truly magical about a Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise wedding, especially one that takes place during the winter.
Canadian winters are filled with glistening soft snow. Lake Louise freezes over and the stillness of mountains and glaciers brings about a romantic and cozy feeling. This is the atmosphere that enveloped L+D's wedding in March 2026.
A modern, luxury feel was achieved for their wedding through our meticulous colour-blocked floral design alongside romantic candlelight. To ensure that the vibrant colour palette felt intentional upon viewing rather than cluttered, our floral team grouped colours together to create a sophisticated and show stopping look.
At the request of the Mother of the Bride, the floral designs featured an exquisite collection of David Austin Garden Roses, including Beatrice, Juliet, Miranda, Baronesse, and Pink O’Hara. These exceptional varieties brought depth, romance, and a luxurious garden-inspired quality to the overall design.
Bridal Bouquet
For the bride's bouquet, we used a distinctive, textural composition of Aranda ‘Annie Black’ orchids sourced from Thailand, hellebores, burgundy ranunculus, and miniature calla lilies. The rich tones and sculptural forms created a luxury bouquet with striking depth and artistic character that matched the winter feel of the wedding.
Bridesmaids’ Bouquets
The bridesmaids' bouquets differed slightly from the bridal bouquet while matching the overall aesthetic of the florals. Soft, romantic arrangements in shades of white, peach, and pale pink, were thoughtfully chosen to complement and contrast beautifully against the bridesmaids’ mocha-coloured dresses.
Featuring more than 50 varieties of flowers, the floral palette was nothing less of abundant in colour, texture, and dimension. Some of the florals used included garden roses, orchids, spirea, viburnum, tulips, skimmia, peonies, hellebores, calla lilies, hydrangea, ranunculus, and daffodils. Each floral variety contributed to the layered, garden-inspired aesthetic that carried throughout L+D's celebration.
The florals were designed on a grand scale, with a series of luxurious, show stopping installations transforming the space. These installations included an elaborate ceremony backdrop that matched flawlessly with the snow-filled landscape outside the windows, cascading florals adorning the cocktail bar, oversized urn arrangements welcoming guests at the entrance to the Victoria Ballroom where the ceremony and reception were held, and a magnificent 12-foot floral installation spanning the fireplace mantel. Together, these designs created an immersive floral experience filled with movement, abundance, and visual impact for all to enjoy.
Bringing this ambitious floral vision to life would not have been possible without my passionate and hard-working floral team. This wedding required more than 375 hours of dedicated work from our team. On-site installation spanned two full 12-hour days, with a nine-person crew working each day to carefully design, place, and refine every floral detail.
Following L+D's beautiful celebration, the wedding flowers were donated to the YWCA women’s shelter, allowing their beauty to be enjoyed beyond the wedding day and shared with women in the community!
