Colourful Garden Party Wedding at the River Café in Calgary

Katie and Byron said their I do's last June on a sunny spring day at the River Café. They met through mutual friends as neither were originally from Calgary. Together, they dreamed of tying the knot at an intimate dinner party with their loved ones, surrounded by florals as if spring had completely sprung around them.

Shades of pink, peach, coral, lavender, and yellows transformed River Café into a colourful garden party. Their florals created a romantic and organic ambiance with a hint of wildflower feel. We did something a little different and unique for their ceremony, arranging fresh potted plants between large rattan baskets filled with seasonal florals that guests were able to take home at the end of the evening.

Katie, another peony lover like us, is fondly reminded of her wedding day whenever she sees lemon chiffon peonies, and we especially loved how they bloomed in Katie's bouquet. A few of our other favourites was the adorable floral collar for their pup Begley, and their sandwich board style welcome sign planter filled with beautiful seasonal blooms that emanated a garden party meets wildflower energy.
