Peony Bouquets

It's that time of year again...PEONY season! We still have a few months to go until they bloom locally in Calgary BUT the British Columbia and Dutch peony growing season has begun!

Peonies have been my favorite flower since childhood as my mother grew a few plants in our backyard and I loved arranging with them even as a child. When they are in season I absolutely love incorporating them into wedding floral design as they are absolute show stoppers! There is something so special about these big beautiful blooms that look incredible in statement bridal bouquets, centerpieces, arches and large scale floral installations in the spring and early summer!

Some of the wedding peony varieties featured in the photos below are: Coral Charm, Sarah Bernhardt (blush), Duchess de Nemour (white), Bowl of Cream (white), Raspberry Sundae (blush + white), Etched Salmon and Monsieur Jules Elie (medium pink).
